We think green science topics like renewable sources of energy are much easier to understand when students can watch a video.  Animations are especially useful to explain concepts like geothermal energy or—for that matter—biofuels made from…ummm… excrement.

This video explains how hydropower captures the kinetic energy of flowing water and turns it into electricity for our homes and businesses.


Last but definitely not least… solar power!  This video appears on a site called GO SEEK (Solar Energy Eco Knowledge).  Worth a look if you’re seeking lesson plans and more videos.  It’s especially great for students at the elementary school level.
